The long sloping beach at Riversdale makes it perfect for swimming, surfing or fishing. Surfcasting is especially popular around the rocky outcrops found at the outer reaches of the main beach, and in nearby bays. Fishing from a boat is very popular too, as there are plenty of rocks and reefs to fish around.
It is well-known as a good place for groper. Divers can also hunt for their
favourite kaimoana.
